The question we are all asking at this point is: Now that you've lost your money, what happens next? I'm seeing websites promoting money recovery after it's been lost to crypto. Is it legitimate?

Every one of us has the reflex to go to the search engines and find a way to get the money you've lost, and many people can be fooled into going to websites that offer methods of getting your money back.

💡
Unfortunately, what has been invested, in any crypto platform that isn't legitimate, will be lost forever. There is no known way to get your money back. If you see a service offering you to get your money back, avoid at all cost.

What you can see today by going to the search engines are websites that give you the opportunity to get your lost money back, such as the StoneVentures website. These companies will promise you your money back, but the people who run these sites are the same people who stole your money in the first place.

What does a site promoting money recovery look like?

This is an example of a website promoting fake fund recovery.

As you can see, a bad review has been put in for StoneBridge Ventures. The website in question will not be published to avoid clicks on this fraudulent website. Every website that is listed and tells you that this company or others are able to give you your money back is completely false. You need to close this fraud window.

This is another example from a post on Medium.com - DO NOT CLICK OR REACH Elyt Chargeback

As you can see, Elyt Chargeback is being advertised as a company trying to help to recover your money. Again, as a reminder, you cannot recover the money you have invested. Multiple methods are being used by scammers to persuade you that it is possible when it's not the case. DO NOT REACH that website. It is pure scam.

Another third example of that scheme

Scammers will try all sorts of way to gain access to your money. Do not trust any of these reviews.

Examples on Facebook:

This person on Facebook is pretending to help you out recover your money.
Another example of someone pretending to be a good help.

The problem we face is the inaction of social networks like Facebook, X, Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram. Many publications are made and none of the companies mentioned are making efforts to reduce these fraudulent publications as much as possible.

What to do if you've lost your money:

  • Contact your local police station
  • Contact your bank to report a fraud
  • If you have provided your SIN (social insurance number), contact your government
  • Avoid ANY communication with scammers
  • Don't attempt in ANY way to access fake recovery money websites
  • Don't attempt to recover your money from social networks. These are 99.9% scammers trying to steal you more money
